In spite of Michael (Aunty) Adam’s extensive art collection and his infamous tenure as Chief Magistrate, it’s his chilli jam that will remain his bottled legacy, and that just goes to show how unapologetically delicious it is.
Unable to eat the jam himself due to his chilli allergy, Aunty would use his close friends and family as guinea pigs, tirelessly cooking batches of this vibrantly red condiment for over twenty years.
The flavour is consistently warm, complex, bold and sweet, like the man himself.
For those lucky enough to have known Aunty, or who happened to come across the jam through the unofficial distribution channels of his family’s friends, the release of this jam couldn’t have happened quickly enough.
With love and reverence, the next generation is continuing his legacy in the confidence that you too will grow to relish Aunty’s Chilli Jam.
