Mat's Hot Shop is an Australian hot sauce brand based in Victoria, founded by Mathew Garthwaite. We craft small-batch, all-natural hot sauces made from real ingredients — no additives, no preservatives, no capsaicin extracts. Just fruit, chilli, and flavour.
Mat grew up in regional Victoria, surrounded by fruit orchards and a love of bold food. That upbringing inspired our flagship sauce, Peachango Tango — a peach and mango habanero hot sauce that went on to win multiple international awards, including 1st place at the International Flavor Awards (USA), 1st place at the Mr Chilli Awards (Australia/NZ), and 1st place at the Screaming Mimi Awards at the NYC Hot Sauce Expo.
Every sauce in our range is made in Australia with a focus on flavour first. From the super-hot Cherry Cherry BANG! BANG! Carolina Reaper sauce to the crowd-pleasing Dillan Dill Pickle, each bottle is crafted to be as enjoyable as it is spicy.
